What you will need:

1 cup Soap Flakes (find these at the grocery store in the laundry isle)

3 cups warm water

large mixing bowl with an electric mixer, but this has to be on top of a cookie sheet or roasting pan to catch the soap

Place ingredients in bowl and mix with the mixer. Watch as the water becomes “snow” and overflows the bowl. Have your kids take the “snow” and finger paint or wash a tricycle or just play. This is soap so keep out of mouths and eyes. We used it in the bath tub here in the place of shaving cream (which is also a blast but also needs to be out of eyes and mouths!).

You can also use food items like whipped cream or yogurt to finger paint and play in the bathtub or outside on a cookie sheet.

Clean up with a hose or sprinkler. This activity can also turn into a treasure hunt, where you bury toy soldiers or small plastic animals in your “snow” ¬†and let your children find them! Have fun this summer turning a hot day into a “snow day”!
